It seems that Prada’s Spring Summer 2010 collection is having a rippling influence on high street fashion this season. Last year, the quirky beach scene print punctuated the collection. Silk fabrics and full skirts, the prim styles had an air of the 60s Mad Men trend. The artful print reminded me of George Seurat’s Sunday Afternoon.

I’ve recently been introduced to a Belgium label, Just In Case. Browsing through their current and previous collections, they use different landscape scenes printed on a-line skirts. It’s like wearing a postcard.

Foliage, florals, palm trees, tropical blooms and Hawaiian patterns are in abundance on the high street right now. Primark’s beach scene dress sold out almost instantly but of course it is all over Ebay if you missed it!
