Prints #3 Galaxy
I love an absract print and no one does this better than Christopher Kane. Carving out a design signature in the fashion world, season after season, Christopher Kane has come up with a new and quirky pattern to theme his collection around. From resort 2011, I love the galaxy print - worn by many a celebrity - the starry space print is another hit for Kane.
Get the Look:
In keeping with my astrological themed post, another object of my affection, is this Gemini Constellation necklace by Brooke Gregson. The brushed yellow gold and diamond piece is on my cosmic shopping wishlist. Being over £1000, it might be on my list for a while.
Alexa Chung, Anne Hathaway, Carey Mulligan, Claudia Schiffer and Sam Cameron |
Katy Perry is loving the nebulae look too, in Kaufman Franco and Emma Cook.

Colour Block
Colour blocking can be a hard look to pull off. Cheryl Cole knew she had to wow the world when she arrived for the first round of X Factor USA auditions, and that she did, pulling off both the colour block trend and the tricky palazzo pants look. Not a major fan of hers, but feeling a bit sorry for her now she's been sacked.
Here she is in Oscar de la Renta and Diane Von Furstenberg. Also pictured, Rihanna in Maria Lusa, Cacharel and Giuseppe Zanotti; and Camilla Belle in Gucci
But way before any of these celebrities, Princess Diana did colour blocking first. The image of her alone outside the Taj Mahal is simply iconic. And proves her style truly was timeless and classic.

Prints #2 Cloudy Skies
Misty, abstract prints are everywhere right now. As previously blogged, I do love quirky prints. Christopher Kane's Spring Summer 2010 collection featured cloud and sky prints heavily.
Since then, the high street has followed suit. Some prints resemble misty watercolour Monets, others look more elaborate and distinctive, like Van Gogh's Starry Night. Perfect examples of art influencing fashion.

London Haunt #4 Proud Chelsea: Audrey Hepburn by Bob Willoughby
This weekend, my friends and I took a stroll down the Kings Road and popped into Proud Chelsea. Currently, they are showing an exhibition of photos of Audrey Hepburn taken by Bob Willoughby. Apparently, Audrey was his favourite subject. Some images we have all seen before. Some were more intimate, taken in between filming, on set of her most iconic movies.

Prints #1 Life's a Beach
It seems that Prada’s Spring Summer 2010 collection is having a rippling influence on high street fashion this season. Last year, the quirky beach scene print punctuated the collection. Silk fabrics and full skirts, the prim styles had an air of the 60s Mad Men trend. The artful print reminded me of George Seurat’s Sunday Afternoon.

I’ve recently been introduced to a Belgium label, Just In Case. Browsing through their current and previous collections, they use different landscape scenes printed on a-line skirts. It’s like wearing a postcard.

Foliage, florals, palm trees, tropical blooms and Hawaiian patterns are in abundance on the high street right now. Primark’s beach scene dress sold out almost instantly but of course it is all over Ebay if you missed it!

Leighton For Vera
How A-MAZE-ING does Leighton Meester look in these new pictures? Taken in SoHo, downtown New York, the shoot was for a brand new Vera Wang fragrance campaign. Leighton is such a classic beauty, she is the ideal choice for the feminine brand. I cannot wait to see the campaign in full.
