I really think I need to have this leopard print dress from Isabel Marant's Etoile collection. With news of an Isabel Marant opening a shop here in London, the fashion house is well and truly established as a favourite amongst the Brit fashion pack.

London Haunt #6 Buckingham Palace
The Palace Gardens |
Last weekend I went to the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace. it was the penultimate weekend before it closes for the year. This year, was of course more special than most years. In the ballroom, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton's dress was exhibited. It is so beautiful up close and in the flesh. It really is amazing how much detail and effort went into the dress

London Haunt #5 National Portrait Gallery
I went to the National Portrait Gallery's exhibition, Glamour of the Gods: Hollywood Portraits. There were some very stunning images. My friend and I noticed that some of the actresses adorned timeless fashions (Ginger Rogers with a Peter Pan collared dress!). By far this was my favourite image, below, Charlie Chaplin and the Kid. It's sad and sentimental at the same time.

Nathalie Lete
Nathalie Lete is one of my favourite illustrators. The French artist is famous for the childlike, whimsical nature of her work. she seems to be popping up everywhere at the moment. I adore this jug from Anthropologie. But at £798 I may just stick to buying Lete's stationary.

Sixties Square
Caroline Flack's outfits on the Xtra Factor are so cute. I loved the criss cross top she had on the other night. Her style is very sixties reminiscent. I am loving the revival of sixties mod style this season.

Backpacks, whatever.
You know you're getting old when fashion starts to repeat itself in your lifetime. Double denim, doc martins and grunge dresses: it can only mean the nineties. One of my fashion idols in the nineties was Clueless' Cher Horowitz. Cute sweater tanks, mini skirts and knee-high socks made up her style. Her cute little rucksacks topped off her looks. It's a look that is definitely rerunning. I love Kate Sheridan's canvas rucksacks.

Pearl Lowe for Peacocks AW11
Pearl Lowe's latest collection for Peacocks launched today online and in selected stores. Sticking to her signature style, all the dresses in the collection have a vintage feel to them with details including bell sleeves, lace trims and intricate buttons. If you like any of the styles I suggest you get them quickly, or as Daisy tweeted today, get them while they're hot, because they are known to sell out.

Beau Papier
It's the beginning of September which can only mean one thing: NEW STATIONARY. Ok, so I don't go to school anymore, but I can still identify with the excitement of getting new pens and pencils and crisp new notebooks. It totally softened the blow of the summer holidays ending. A few of my newly qualified teacher friends have been rekindling this September tradition. Here are a few of my favourite notebooks out at the moment.

Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's
The UK has had many a high street-designer collaboration: H&M with Stella McCartney and Victor and Rolf, Giles Deacon for New Look, Celia Birtwell, Richard Nicoll and Christopher Kane for Topshop and Jil Sander for Uniqlo to name a few. Across the pond, Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's launched yesterday. The collection has all the signature features of the Chanel designer: monochromatic colours, peter pan collars and tweed jackets. I wish we had it in the UK!
